Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan is an independent and constitutionally established institution of primary funding, overseeing, regulating, and accrediting the higher education efforts in Pakistan.
HEC Scholarships 2018:
Now, they are planning to send 2000 Pakistani Ph.D scholars to the best foreign universities in the next five(5) Years.
Central Development Working Party (CDWP) approved nearly Rs. 20.904/- billion for Phase III of Overseas Scholarship Programme.
It is said by an HEC official that Phase III of the scholarship programme is going to visualize the Ph.D. level training of 2000 talented candidates from all over country on open merit in selected fields in front of media.
They also said that the candidates who will be selected for the scholarships will travel to the countries having technologically advanced universities.
Moreover, in addition to the seats mentioned above, more 200 scholarships will be awarded to the students MS/MPhil in Engineering Technology including the following fields:
Civil Engineering Technology
Electrical Engineering Technology
Mechanical Engineering Technology
Electronics
Chemicals
Textile
and some other.
Upcoming Scholarships of HEC:
Due to a larger number of universities in Pakistan, the Govt. of Pakistan felt the need of faculty in various newly created universities across Pakistan. They are providing these scholarships to meet the present needs of universities. So, the Govt. is planning to provide 400 scholarships to the candidates in for the next five(5) Years.
