About the World Bank Young Professional Program YPP 2019:

The World Bank Group has announced World Bank Young Professionals Program YPP 2019 that is a highly selective program for the youth of World Bank Group member countries, which is an extra ordinary opportunity for the motivated and highly qualified young blood to kick-start their careers.

Available Positions:

Every year only 45 applicants are selected for the Young Professional Program 2019 (YPP).

Program Duration:

24 Months

Salary:

As an entry level professional, an international market based competitive salary will be offered based on the candidate’s educational qualification and experience.

Educational Qualification:

The candidates must have a Master’s or Ph.D. program with specialization in any of the following World Bank Group Technical / Operational fields:

1. Economics
2. Finance
3. Education
4. Public Health
5. Social Sciences
6. Engineering
7. Urban Planning
8. Agriculture
9. Natural Resources

Additional Qualification:

The candidates are required to have the following additional qualifications and skills in order to be eligible for the Youth Professional Program 2019:

1. Passion for international development
2. Outstanding academic credentials
3. Excellent clientele engagement
4. Team leadership skills
5. International development country experience.

Experience:

The candidates are required to have at least 3 years of professional experience related to development or continued Ph.D. studies

Eligibility Criteria:

Following are the minimum requirements for eligibility criteria:

1. The applicant must be a citizen of a member country of the World Bank Group.
2. The candidate must be born on or after 1^st October 1986.
3. The prospect must be fluent in English language.
4. The applicant must have a Ph.D. or Master’s Degree with relevant work experience.
5. The candidate must full proficiency in any one or more of the following World Bank Group’s languages, i.e. Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
