Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan is an independent institution in Pakistan that regulates and accredits higher education institutions in the country. It recognizes only those institutions which meet the standards of higher education.
Higher Education Commission (HEC) also works for the development of higher education institutions in Pakistan. Further, Higher Education Commission (HEC) awards hundreds of foreign scholarships to Pakistani graduates for materializing its vision of building a knowledge-based economy.
It was formally established in 2002 under the headship of Atta-ur-Rehman; a renowned Pakistani scientist with specialization in Organic Chemistry.

- Gender: Male/Female
- Qualification: 16-year Education in any discipline
How to Apply for HEC Internship Program?
Applicants interested to apply and meeting the above eligibility criteria are required to follow application procedure given below:
- Log into https://www.hec.gov.pk/english/HECAnnouncements/Pages/invited-Internship.aspx and download the application form.
- Dispatch the duly filled application form along with photocopies of the required documents (if any) sealed in an envelope on the address given below.
Terms and Conditions
- Candidates who have remained the Higher Education Commission (HEC) interns for two years or more are not allowed to avail this internship.
- Fresh graduates will be given preference.
- Successful candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 20,000 per month during the internship program.
- Higher Education Commission (HEC) has the exclusive right to reject or accept any application without specifying any reason.
