About Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program 2019

Every now and then United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) announces Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program that targets young and early career educators who are teaching the English Language in college or universities of Pakistan. Keeping up with the legacy, this year USEFP has announced FLTA 2019.

The program is a fully paid excellent opportunity funded by U.S Department of States along with many other benefits, aiming to provide growth opportunities to the individuals. The program especially invites and encourages female candidates and disabled people to apply. The candidates are not even required to give TOFEL exam.

The tentative announcement of the program will take place in March or April and the grantees will start studies in the fall of next year with a total program duration of 9 – 10 months in the United States of America (USA).

Program Location: United States of America.

Duration of the Program: 9 – 10 Months.

Program Benefits: The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program 2019 is a fully funded program by U.S Department of States. The program offers the following benefits to its participants:

  4. Monthly living stipend
  5. Health insurance
  6. Travel support
  7. Accommodation

Nationality: Pakistani nationals who are residents of Pakistan bearing a valid Pakistani passport are eligible to apply.

Besides, candidates belonging to Nothern Sindh, Southern Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) are also eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification: It is compulsory for the candidates to have a formal education of minimum 16 years.

Experience: Early career educators will be preferred having some prior teaching experience. It is required that the candidates must be college or university level English Language teacher.

Application Procedure:

    • The interested applicants are required to apply by downloading the application form which is an MS Word format file from the following link.

  • The application form and materials including original and 1 copy including references, must be sent to United States Education Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) on the following address:
    Programs Department, USEFP, House 5, Street 17, F-6/2, Islamabad.
  1. The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) will notify the applicants regarding the application receipt in the email, which may take some time due to the rush of applications.
  2. Misinterpretation of information or plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
